Heh Guys,

I thought I would post this cool little RC Servo driver circuit using a standard 555. The only problem was that it was designed for a servo that has a pulse width of .5 to 2.5 mSeconds. I threw it up on a breadboard and it works just fine. You may have to change the values of R1 and R2 to change the pulses to fit your specific servo. Anyway the schematic follows.

 

Variations on 555-based servo drives have been around for a long time. I have been using one since I got back into the hobby 25 years ago. They usually work well with analog servos, but with some digital servos, they can cause chatter and do not not work.
