480 volt single phase

    I am new here can someone tell if I can use 2 legs of 480 volt 3 phase to get 480 volt single phase

    What is the end use? Why do you want to? 480V is pretty high to be playing with for someone that needs to ask the question.

    It can effectively be used as a 1ph supply at 480v.

    It can also effectively blow your face off. Get somebody that knows the danger!

    A 3 phase supply is NOT to be experimented with in any way unless you know exactly what the dangers are and what you are doing-it is very unforgiving of any mistakes ....
