    Hi all,

How long does it take to shift the data in a 4015 shift reg? Like the time taken for the data to be properly shifted??

    Thanks,

    Robin

It depends on a number of things, in particular your Vdd, clock speed, and more.

    Here's Phillips/NXP's datasheet for their HEF4013B:
    http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/HEF4013B.pdf

Propagation delays are documented on pages 6 through 8.
Note also the maximum clock rate depends upon Vdd.

The worst-case propagation time would be transition high to low (without figuring capacitive loading) with Vdd=5v; and that's 220nS maximum, or 0.22uS
