Does anyone know where I can buy 4-conductor, black cased, 18g wire by the foot?
They give price per foot: http://www.mcmaster.com/?m=true#standard-electrical-wire/=qxokj8
Shielded/unshielded? Outer Sheath Material?
Ordinary 4 conductor cab tire flex can be had at Home Depot etc.
at any favorite supplier/distributor.. digikey/mouser/newark/etc....
thats a simple product to find on any search engine,etc...
Its being used for an arduino project, not sure if it needs to be shielded or not. Its being used with a URM37 ultrasonic sensor.
If you have an extra Ethernet cable laying around, that gives you 8 conductors. Just clip off the extras at each end. Otherwise telephone wire at Home Depot will fine too. You don't need anything special for an ultrasonic sensor.
Yeah, I've used ethernet in the past. Just trying to keep things need and uniform.
I had to fix a remote cable for a lift box a couple days ago. Needed 4C. Had 4C plus a green in a real nice flexible jacket.
Picked up a whole roll.
How much are you looking for?
Oops, mine is grey I think,. I'll have to look.
Otherwise 4C extension cord wire should be available at any home store or hardware.
I think I'm going to order some black ethernet cable. I'm looking for black jacket that's no more than 7mm in diameter and seems its quite hard to find for an inexpensive price.
Why the colour preference?
neatness...wires bother me. I know its stupid, but it helps my brain.
Rotor cable is nice. But #20/4
I use it for lots of other jobs.
Speaker cable in #18/4
Both black and small.
