But what am I congratulating you for?

He got the best/highest type of Bachelor's degree for engineering possible - equivalent to around 70% overall (could be slightly different for Mitch's uni). You then get a '2:1' for 60%, '2:2' for 50%, '3rd' for 40%.

Now an engineer.

I got my results for the end of first year - averaged about 95%. Quite pleased with that, though I expect second year will be harder. In the process of something potentially quite cool... Will post back if it works out.

But seriously, kudos to you!

Seriously though, Mitch, to get a decent result in first year is one thing, but to actually have a first is another! Big congrats!

Where do you see yourself going now? Are you doing an MEng? Going straight into a PhD? Work?

I've been about 1/2 a mile away from you for the past year in Coventry. Small world...

Managed to get myself into Nottingham for my second year, so I won't be so close anymore.
