    Hi all,
As the title suggests I am wanting to modify an existing circuit for a 3 stage touch lamp dimmer using a sensitive gate triac(BT136-600E) to a variable state with one touch, ie. touch turns on to dimmest & while still touching, slowly getting brighter to full power, the circuit I am currently using is taken from circuitstoday.com [IMG] Any helpful advice would be much appreciated & you will be short listed to my Christmas card list ;)

    Money in the Christmas card?

So basically you just want to hold your finger down and auto increment yes?

This sounds like a "transformer less psu", so maybe it will be closed.

Yeah well there is an 240VAC fan controller project in the completed projects section. It uses no transformer.

You might as well ban triacs then. How else do you do it?
