    hello,
really stuck on my 3 phase assignment
    could anyone tell me ..
what is the synchronous speed of a 50hz, 10 pole generator?
    many thanks.

the generators shaft makes a complete cycle every 0.02 seconds. if you want to find its rotational speed you need to know its diameter or radius

I think it is 120*f/(Number of poles/Number of phases).

Synchronous speed is the speed at which the field in the motor rotates.
This is given by: 120*Frequency/(number of poles)

Edit: The unit for the speed here is RPM(revolutions per minute).
