I am doing a project where I need to use this relay to control a pneumatic solenoid. The relay is a potter and brumfeild 24VDc time delay release relay. Part # CDD-38-30014. I have tried following the wiring diagram but can get it to work. Would someone help explain how to wire this up. Thank you

Delay on release – Input voltage must be applied continuously to operate
the internal relay. When control Input is applied, the relay energizes.
When control input is removed, timing begins. When timing is complete,
the relay will de-energize. Time may be reset to zero during timing by
reapplying control input.

They way I understand it the control voltage(24VDC) has to be applied and then removed. Once the voltage is removed the timing starts and the NO contacts close. After the delay the closed contacts open.

I would wire both the - terminals together. I would use a SPST(mom) switch wired between the + supply terminal and + control terminal.
