Hi guys, I've just mistakenly bought a 12V DC-AC inverter to use in my dad truck which has 2 batteries to make up 24V. if I connect the inverter to 1 of the battery then will it effect the life of that battery? if it will then is there anyother way to connect?

What, Dad has a retired military vehicle?

Cool beans :)

Well, yes - the inverter you bought will tend to suck the juice out of the "lower" battery.

If he keeps it topped up, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. If he lets the battery drop below sulfation levels, he'll have problems.

What does he have?

Its not a good idea. The battery with the extra discharge will have a shorter life. Swopping possition of the batteries often, will improve the situation. Or charge it often using a 12V charger.
