2125a ic substitute

    can you help me what IC i can use for replacing 2125A for making a circuit "expanding word size". thanks in advance

    what i found on the web is it's a surround matrix decoder.

    It's a very old 1Kx1 static RAM. Its pinout is different from HM2511 and 2102. See datasheet attached.

    I guessed the 2125 was an SRAM chip.

    It would help if you told us what you are attempting to do.
    Either you are trying to fix a broken video game or old computer or you are trying to expand its memory.

    Tell us the name and model number of the gadget and what you are trying to do.

    The site I linked to sells them, why would you need a substitute when you can get the exact part?

    we are told to make a circuit where we can store 16 8bits words.using this IC

    sorry for replying just now because of some heavy school works. i don't know how to explain it clearly, we are going to make a circuit using that ic and the output will be letters which will appear on 7 segment.
