As you can see, the thread was over a year old, and never did get to a satisfactory conclusion.

High power inverters take a lot of battery current. 2000 watts at 240 volts means a 12 volt battery has to supply 167 amps if the circuit is perfect. That is even a big load on a 48 volt battery bank.

With charging requirements for the battery/ies, a generator really makes more sense.
