2 diode clipper

    Dear all...
    Assuming item in is working(please see photo thanks), please help me to know :
    voltage and image at port 2 of chip tc4420 and 2 diode use for what??

    The voltage at port 2 equals the input voltage until the voltage peaks near ground and/or +12V at which point the diodes start to clip and limit the peaks to about 0.7V below ground and 0.7V above +12V (12.7V). The diodes are to protect the input from over-voltage.

    Yes, it's that simple. They are just protection diodes that don't do anything unless you try to apply too much voltage that would harm the chip.
