I'm working on a project and need some help with this circuit. I'm trying to connect a decimal-to-BCD encoder through a BCD to a 2 digit 7 segment display and have hit some snags. I've gotten the switches input into the decimal encoder. what type of power can be used with this? I've tried various forms of power supplies, but they don't work correctly.

Show us what you have put together and maybe we can help find the problem.

I've tried attaching it as a PDF, hopefully it came through. The main question I have is where do I attach the tenth switch on the decimal to BCD encoder? It appears to only have 9 inputs.

It does. The data sheet explains how the 0 state is sensed.
