hi guys well my damn rotator failed again,now i just took it out for good and i'm thinking of getting a 8 bowtie and put it under my existing directional antenna

Sure. Just use the appropriate matching transformer, or don't. After the number of clothes lines and bed springs I have seen picking up TV signals, I won't object. If it works, it works.

 

If you have a -3.5db 2-port splitter, just connect it backwards.
