is there an alternative to 2n7000
my source voltage is 4.9 for my circuit to as been pointed out to me the 2n7000 needs 10 volts to open fully
it is to opporate 2 led's at 25ma so about a 60ma max

That's a 2N7000. You can look for a "logic level fet" rated at 30 volts and 300 ma or up as a substitute.

The VN10LP will work.

 

Actually, 2N7000's will work OK when Vgs is 4.5v or higher. Max threshold is 3v, typical is 3.1v. The TO-92 package is handy and compact for hobbyists.
