The 7493 now resets at 6. So, what's the count now? 0 - 59. I'm on my way. I'm trying to figure out the power supply. I don't want to run a clock from a 6 V lantern battery.

Are you talking about the image in Post # 30?? If so, a 555 is not a very stable time base for telling time with any real accuracy. Again, think about your power supply.

I am going to clock it from the 60 Hz coming out of the wall. I am working on designing the power supply now. I posted the IMG of the schematic in post #43.

The IMG I posted (I believe) was uploaded as a PNG. Could this be the problem?

It is also hosted on AAC. I will try hosting it with Photo Bucket and reposting. Very strange, indeed.

That one, I can see. Very strange. I've always been able to see PNG files before. I use Firefox as a browser. Maybe one of the many, many updates that are force fed to us has has some effect.

Anyway, the only thing I would add to your design would be for you to check the datasheet for your 7805 and follow their recommendations for small caps on the input and output lines.

I see what you are saying on the datasheet. I will use the 2200 μF for the filter then I will put a 0.1 μF on both sides of the 7805.
