    Dear folks,

I am wondering, is it possible to create a circuit that when powered, switches off after a given no of seconds? I would like to add a delay to interior lights going off in my old cabin cruiser. How would I create such a circuit? What component(s) would I use to delay a power off?

    Many thanks for any help

    Hi

What voltage is your lighting system? How long of a delay? Most likely a relay would be needed so how much power do all the lights to be controlled use?

A NE555 timer chip would be a good choice if you want to build your own circuit. Switch on - lights on, switch off - lights off after n seconds. Correct?

    Regards,
