    Hello all,

I'm putting together an RFID ingition system for my motorcycle, and I'm looking for a specific latching relay. I would like it to have 2 coils (or 2 circuits if solid state), carry 30A+, and have quick disconnects if possible. The RFID controller will latch the contacts on, while a separate switch will latch the contacts off. This is to keep the RFID circuit from accidentally turning off the motorcycle if the key is in range while riding.

Almost all of the latching relays I have found so far are single coil, or if they are dual coil they are large 120v/240v relays. The idea here is small and compact. I have a Zettler relay AZ2500P2 in hand, 60A 250vac, but it is PCB mount and this would require me to make another, rather expensive component to the system.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Any relay with sufficient spare contacts can be wired to latch itself on until the supply is interrupted.

I think that would defeat the purpose
