can I hook my 12v and 1 amp device directly in cigarette lighter holder of car and expect this device to for longer hours

 

yes you can.. The cig socket can typically do up to 10 Amps MAX

Just be aware that the device might get hot if it isn't ventilated, so don't let it get covered up on the floor or in the seat.
