100uA or 250uA panel meters

I really need the small ones (15 to20mm L) the bigger 38 and 52mm will not work in my enclosure.So far everywhere ive looked thats all they have, Possible anyone has a op-amp circuit that I may drive 3 or 4 LEDs and will accept meters input leads? I have enougn room in box for such a small circuit to cram it in.Unit runs off 12v and is an RF direction finder. I also have a couple more projects that need them.Unit doesnt use any audio so S-meter is a must,Could I adapt a real S-meter from a citizens band rig,and how?
