I have a dayton model 1rwb5a fan motor 120v 60hz 3.32A 335W 2 speed (high/low) and I'm wondering if it can be wired to run cw and ccw. The reason I'm asking is because I have a metal hem roller that uses good ol man power and I want to be able to use electric with a 3 to 1 gear reduction.

If the two windings come out separately you may do it, but there is a possibility the common connection is made internal?.

I have done that with 1/2 H 220 V, capacitur start, 60 Hz motors, internally by locating start winding, one end with lead probably going to cap. & other combined at end of windings prob. going to one end of run winding & thermal switch if there is one. If located, seperate & add a lead.
