dc jack pinout?

how's the pin configuration of the dc jack?
My input is 6-12v and i want to supply the breadboard with it. what pin i'm gonna use the positive and negative pins of jack. tnx

Usually:
The back pin is connected to the post and picks up the center hole of the power plug.
The front pin connects to the outer cylinder of the power plug.
The side pin is connected to the front pin when there is no plug installed and is open when a plug is connected.

The best way to do this is to connect the power supply and measure the voltage at the pins. That way, you can ensure that the volts and polarity of the power plug is correct as well.
