Need help with 7492 counter

I can not for the life of me get a 7492IC to work. I am trying to use a tach signal from an engine, square it off at TTL, use a 7492IC to divide it by twelve, then use it to feed the ECM as a useable vehicle speed signal. My circuit all seems to be working just fine except for the divider. Can anyone tell me how to use this IC? I t has 5v power on pin 5, ground on pin 10, input on pin 14, pin 12 is wired to pin 1, and output on pin 8. Still uncertain what to do with the 2 resets on the chip but have tryed leaving them open and tried grounding them but I can not get the chip to do anything. Very frustrated and any help is appreciated.

You won't get any help here. We do not support any form of vehicle modification especially when it comes to the ECM.
