Need Opamp recommendations

I have used TL071 single, TL072 dual and TL074 quad opamps for audio circuits for many years. They have Jfet inputs so their input bias current is nothing, they are low noise, have very low distortion and have a high slew rate so have a full output swing to 100kHz.
The LM358 dual low power opamp and LM324 quad have pretty bad crossover distortion and trouble with frequencies over 5kHz.
Instead I use the MC33171 single, MC33172 dual and MC33174 quad low power opamps that also have exactly the same low current, also work with a supply as low as 3V, also have inputs that work at 0V from a single supply and also have outputs that go to ground with a single supply. But they do not have crossover distortion and have a slew rate that allows a full output swing to 35kHz.
I use MC34071, MC34072 and MC34074 opamps for everything as above except their high slew rate allows a full output swing to 100kHz. They have "normal" supply current.

You don't select an op-amp based on modern or not, but on your requirements (single rail, dual rail, offset voltage, bandwidth, supply current, etc).
For general audio at line level (never mind if you don't know what that means) I use a J-FET amp like an LF-356 or TL-084 and they are good enough. For ultra low noise the NE-5532 and NE-5534 were pretty much the cat's pajamas. LM-358 for general junky amps.
Of course my selections are influenced by being biased towards parts I got free working at the place that made them.... and I never worked at Motorola.
I also never worked for Motorola but I frequently went to their local sales office for databooks and free samples of ICs.
I did work for Philips but I never tried an NE5532 nor NE5534.
