Ok here it is....I have a project in for Thursday, ive been tearing my hair out for weeks trying to get this to work. My problem is:
Button 1 + 3 moves motor A clockwise.

Button 2 + 4 moves motors A + B clockwise.
Motors latch, it should be momentery, stop when button is let go

It is supposed to:
The buttons should be momentary
Button 1 should move motor A one way
Button 2 should move motor A the other
Button 3 move motor B one way
Button 4 move motor B the other
And be momentary.

Are my positive wires position causing the problem?

Hello,

Is the HT12 transmitter providing 38 kHz modulation on the led?
You are using a tsop 2238 as IR reciever, that expects a 38 kHz modulated IR signal.

How can I make them "un latch"? and how do I get the motors to work correctly?

Switch 5 is supposed to select latching (open) moment (close) but does not work

You need an HT12a. Pin 15 is the Latch/momentary on the HT12a is a SOP package and pin 14 on the DIP

The HT12D has no such function.

But the schematic says that HT12A pin 14 decides latch or not, pin 15 goes to the signal generator

Also does anyone know why my motors are not working properly, buttons 1 + 2 should move motor A left and right and buttons 3 + 4 should move motor B left and right but:

Button 1 + 3 moves motor A clockwise.

Button 2 + 4 moves motors A + B clockwise.

Hello,

As I told you in post #7 the HT12D has latching outputs.
The output will stay the same until an other command is recieved.

You can use 4 and gates on the 4 data outputs and combine that with the valid signal to drive the motors.

1. First check output in receiver by connecting LED's at the place of transistor (if ok)
2. Give power to the motor from different source or from other point (but not from the rely coil points for any circuit)
