Can we have triplen harmonics in a 3-phase system?

Hello, a famous professor said it's impossible to have triplen harmonics in an unbalanced 3-phase wye connected system with no neutral return path. However, in my experiment, some triplen harmonics were observed. Some forumers in other forums said triplen harmonics will not exist in unbalanced 3-phase system if there is no neutral return path. However, some said it's expected to see some triplen harmonics in an unbalanced 3-phase wye connected system even if there is no neutral path. I'm really confused. I hope someone can help me to clear my doubts. I also wish to proof it in mathematic.

What evidence do you have that conclusively proves there is a third harmonic?

Hi Austin, I measured the phase current and performed FFT with the phase current and I can see triplen harmonics.
