Default D13007 - NPN Silicon Power Transistor Replacement

I am replacing a D13007 NPN Silicon Power Transistor and can not find a replacement.
Any help?

D13007 is an NPN silicon bipolar transistor in a TO-220 case
Ic Max: 8A
Vcbo: 700V
Vceo: 400V (a figure of merit as transistors are not applied like this)
hFE: 5 to 30 @5A

BU508AF is the only device that seems to come close:
Ic Max: 8A
Vces: 1500V (Wow! this is with B shorted to E--essentially Vcbo)
Vceo: 700V
hFE: 5 min @ 4.5A

The intended application may be different, but will work for other apps too.
