1 Stick Radio Control

Are there any cheap radio controllers out there that have only one up/down stick for use with a single Electronic Speed Controller? I plan on using this for throttle. Also, which receiver would pair well with the controller? I have a budget for this of $20 but cheaper is better. Also, if it is any help, I plan on using this ESC:

My first RC plane used a radio transmitter that had a single push button. It controlled the rudder. One press made the rudder go one way. Two presses and the rudder went the other way. The motor for the rudder was a rubber band. The radio receiver controlled a latching solenoid mechanism called an escapement.
