Resources for DSP and Verilog

Hello all! I am looking for a good online resource for re-learning theory in digital signal processing. I'm several years out of school and I want a refresher on the subject, especially on the theory. I am interested in digital filters and modulation. If you have any recommendations please let me know.

Also, do any of you recommend any sites that have tutorials on verilog? Know any free software I can practice verilog on? I'd like to review that area also.

For DSP you could do a lot worse than have a look at Steve Smiths excellent (and free) book: http://www.dspguide.com/

As for Verilog, try Deepak Kumar Tala's site (http://www.asic-world.com/verilog/index.html), and for softwares have a look at the wiki listing for a list of open source options: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verilog#Open_Source_Verilog_Tools
