801.11g is backwards compatible with 801.11b therefore it should work; however I would expect it to incur a performance hit because b-band support on the g-network is achieved through the CCK modulation scheme which restricts that section of the network to data rates of either 5.5 or 11 Mbs, where the g-compliant portions of the network can go much faster.Hi, do you think a 801.11b communication base device work okay in 801.11g network?
